have the opportunity to visit the botanical gardens of "Lancetilla", one of the most diverse gardens in the world. They were found by Dr. Wilson Popenoe of the Tela Railroad Company in 1926. It was planned to be an experimental area for its plantations and biological reserve. It is considered to be a unique complex of its time, containing species from all around the world with roads that take you to natural areas that overlook the reserve of this tropical forest. Huge woods of bamboo also give an extra charm to this mystical experience.
Heading to Punta Sal you will one of the most important national parks of Honduras considering its dimensions and biodiversity. Visitors will find a charming scenario of beautiful white sandy beaches, an exotic and exuberant jungle and a very attractive coral reef, home to many tropical and colorful fish. Bring your camera as you may encounter a few dolphins, monkeys, and birds, turning your journey into an unforgettable ecological adventure.

different bird species. This lagoon is surrounded by a tropical forest filled with a variety of canals and mangroves. Exotic plants and trees mark this unique and popular area for any nature and bird lover. You will also get a chance to explore a nearby Garifuna village and its people located on a narrow stretch of white sandy beach with its warm blue waters.
Activities:
Day 1: Transfers to Tela, visit the wood carving factory in El Progreso, half day beach day in Tela, visit to the Botonical Gardens, visit to the town of Tela. Overnight at: Hotel Villa Telamar or El Cocal Inn (Tela)
Day 2: Breakfast in hotel, visit to Punta Sal National Park, typical Garifuna lunch, boat ride, snorkeling equipment. Overnight at Hotel Villa Telamar or El Cocal Inn (Tela)
Day 3: Breakfast in hotel, visit to Los Micos Lagoon, typical lunch, tour of park in 4x4 vehicle, return to San Pedro Sula.
